I listed my 1990 Monza 160 CLS on ChangeCars two days ago, within a minute I had an email confirmation from ChangeCars accepting the offer.
Michael Pashut, the MD of ChangeCars called to say he wants it.
By late afternoon the money was in my account.
Two chaps collected it from my place yesterday.
The fact that the battery has gone flat over the holidays was "no problem."
Absolutely amazing service!
So, they buy my car, at the asking price. Then, present me with this when collecting it.

My engine light came on after over six months of them replacing my airbag and was repeatedly told that it had nothing to do with replaced airbag and that I needed to pay for diagnostic. A huge thank you to Michael. What a remarkable man and a good businessman. I reached out to Michael regarding a frustrating experience that I've encountered with Chery Somerset West.
Although they've tried to resolve my concerns, they still haven't been able to get my car to fit the expected condition of a brand new vehicle. A year and few months later with less than 10 000kms and I've still got a rattling noise coming from my dashboard. After many months of back and forth, they've advised me that the dashboard needed to be removed for further investigation. This is not something I wanted to hear and so I have opted to cut ties and never buy a Chery ever again.

I have a Mercedes c63amg which I bought brand new in 2020. I was insured with a big company since day 1 of owning the car, only claimed once for a glass and never claimed nor missed any premiums. I was in an accident in September 2025. The insurer insisted on putting third party headlights for my car siting that it is out of warranty. I fought them until the case went to the adjudicator. This took almost 40days and my courtesy car had to be returned. I literally sent MIKEY form change cars a text in the evening, the following day he contacted me. Within a day, he had spoken to the insurers and assisted me in getting OEM parts for my valuable car and prolongation of my courtesy vehicle. Literally on one day. I am so grateful for his help. My car is currently awaiting parts delivery and finalisation of the repairs. I have never been so happy. -

Michael is more than just Changecars ????hes an advocate for integrity and change ???? Big brand CEOs and those who think theyre top dogs need a lesson from this amazing human being, he needs to share a couple of pages from his books of values. Ive seen a few of the tiktok videos and its evident that Mike is very knowledgeable about cars and the industry in general. I reached out to him with an issue I have with my vehicle and he immediately emailed the relevant people at VW. I unfortunately did not get the outcome I hoped for but Michael's swift response is what I commend. I have had a huge lesson in customer service, big brands are flashy names and nothing more. VW extended warranties are daylight *******. They do not honor their warranties, and look for every and any reason not to pay. I was told by Amanda from VW not to cancel the remainder of my useless warranty in the event that something else should happen. Imagine, they havent paid for the current issue and if this is anything to go by, theyll certainly not pay for any other issue. My hard earned money which ive wasted on a brand that 20 years ago would have never done this to its loyal customers. South Africa is going sideways, and its all about money and where a quick buck can be made or saved. Michael did not ask me for a cent, and this is how i know his genuineness is unmatched. Hes getting nothing out of helping anyone. Hes one of those rare people who does what he does because its the right thing to do. There's not enough stars ✨️ for people with his character. I've had the chance to chat to Michael a few times, and he has always been generous with his time and willing to share his knowledge when it comes to buying used cars. I reached out to Michael earlier today to share frustration I experienced buying a used car from Weelee. I explained that I had to resort to taking legal action to get a refund on the car, yet still no reply was forth coming from Weelee... A short 2 hours later and my phone started hopping as it seemed like everyone in Weelee was trying to reach me to wrong this right, and I was given assurances that I would be refunded in the morning. I am a ardent follower of the show All Thing Motoring and the Pod casts from ChangeCars. So when it came to my desperate situation I decided to reach out to them for advice. I purchased a Mercedes Benz GLC63s in May 2023, in December 2023 the computer module controlling the infotainment, climate control, navigation, vehicle settings, basically everything accessible from the center screen stopped working. For the past 15 months Mercedes Benz South Africa (MBSA) has had the part on back order and for the past 12months the vehicle has been parked off at the dealership (At the time of writing this review the vehicle remains unrepaired and parked at the dealership.) Within two days of reaching out to Michael from CHANGECARS, there was a decisive shift in an issue that has plagued my family for almost a year. For the first time, we saw real, measurable progress—not promises, not delays, not scripted responses, but action.
Michael did not hesitate. He immediately took the time to listen in detail to our entire story, reviewed the full timeline of events, assessed the vehicle defects, and identified exactly where the system had failed us. He understood the legal framework, the Consumer Protection Act, and—most importantly—the human cost of what we had been put through.
He challenged the right people, escalated the matter with precision, and applied pressure where it actually mattered. Where we had been ignored, he demanded responses. Where accountability was avoided, he forced it. Where corporate entities had hidden behind procedures and silence, Michael cut through the noise and brought urgency back into the conversation.
He did all of this selflessly. He asked for nothing. No fees. No favours. No recognition. Just justice.
At every step, Michael kept us informed, reassured us, and made sure we understood what was happening and why. For the first time in nearly a year, we were not left guessing, waiting, or fearing retaliation. We were supported, protected, and advocated for.
To explain our situation for anyone reading this:
We purchased a vehicle that proved to be defective and unsafe. Despite numerous attempts to resolve the issue through the dealership, the manufacturer, and the finance institution—while clearly invoking our rights under the Consumer Protection Act—we were repeatedly dismissed and delayed. Our family was left driving a vehicle that posed a real safety risk, while being treated as though our lives and concerns were expendable.
Michael changed that.
His intervention restored dignity to a process that had stripped us of it. His professionalism, empathy, and relentless follow-through made me feel human again in an industry that had completely dehumanised us.
