Chery South Africa has unveiled Cherished, a certified pre-owned vehicle initiative designed to expand access to its SUV range while addressing affordability concerns in the current market. The programme offers rigorously inspected, high-quality pre-owned models through authorised dealerships, ensuring customers receive vehicles backed by the brand’s reliability and remaining manufacturer warranties.
As economic pressures such as inflation influence pricing trends in the new car market, consumers increasingly face tough decisions when upgrading their vehicles. Chery’s response through Cherished aims to provide an alternative, enabling buyers to opt for pre-owned SUVs without compromising on quality or features. Each vehicle retains the balance of Chery’s 10-year/1-million kilometre engine warranty and includes a minimum of one-year/15 000 km remaining on its service plan.

To qualify for the scheme, vehicles must have a full service history within Chery’s official network, ensuring consistent maintenance standards. The pre-owned SUVs also mirror their new counterparts in technology and comfort, often rivalling higher-priced competitors in standard specifications.
Customers purchasing through Cherished will have options to extend service or maintenance plans, offering added assurance for long-term ownership. The initiative underscores Chery’s strategy to cater to budget-conscious buyers while maintaining its reputation for value and innovation.
