Chery is giving away R1-million to a lucky customer who purchases any new Chery between now and December as part of its global celebrations having achieved 5-million vehicles exported worlwide.
Since its establishment in 1999, Chery has grown and now has operations in more than 80 countries and over 10 production facilities and Tony Liu, CEO of Chery South Africa, says: “Reaching 5-million exports is a proud moment for everyone at Chery.” It represents our commitment to quality, innovation and the trust our customers place in us across every continent.”
Chery relaunched in South Africa in 2021 and currently has 80 dealers nationwide along with an expdaning brand and product portfolio.

“South Africa has become one of our most important markets,” says Liu. “Our customers here have embraced Chery’s value, technology and design. The R1-million giveaway is our way of thanking them for their incredible support.”
From October to December 31, 2025, every customer who buys a new Chery vehicle from an authorised dealership will automatically be entered into a draw to win R1-million in cash. The winner will be announced in early 2026 once vetted by an external audit company.
“This is a global milestone, but we wanted to celebrate it in a way that connects with South Africans,” Liu explained. “Our customers have driven Chery’s success here, now we want to give something meaningful back."
