Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa has significantly expanded its latest-generation Tourneo Custom offering, introducing two new high-specification variants: the dynamic Tourneo Custom Sport and the premium Tourneo Custom Titanium X. These models arrive following the all-new Tourneo Custom's debut last year, bringing heightened sophistication and design to the people-mover segment.
Both the Sport and Titanium X retain the core Tourneo Custom strengths of generous space, an eight-seater layout, and versatile configurability. They utilise the short wheelbase platform, contrasting with the Active and Trend derivatives which employ the long wheelbase for increased luggage capacity.

Sunil Sewmohan, Executive Director of Product Marketing at Ford South Africa, commented, "The Tourneo Custom has a global heritage of delivering proven practicality, spaciousness and comfort, making it ideal for family and business use. These new high-series models build on the rational platform benefits while injecting desirability, style and premium luxury into our portfolio."
Sewmohan identified the target market as image-conscious professionals requiring a vehicle that functions as both a practical tool and a symbol of achievement, also noting its suitability for executive shuttles and VIP transport. He described the Tourneo Custom Sport as a more dynamic, performance-oriented model featuring athletic design flair, while positioning the Titanium X as the premium halo product blending sophistication and luxury.
Both new variants benefit from the current Tourneo Custom's enhanced architecture and independent rear suspension. They are powered by Ford's single-turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine, delivering 125 kW of power and 390 Nm of torque, an increase over the Active and Trend's 100 kW and 360 Nm outputs. An eight-speed automatic transmission channels power to the front wheels, featuring five drive modes: Normal, Eco, Slippery, Tow/Haul and Sport. Advanced driver assistance technologies, including Adaptive Cruise Control, come as standard.
The Tourneo Custom Sport distinguishes itself with a distinctive Sport honeycomb grille, a full body-colour front bumper, and an assertive rear spoiler as part of its Sport body kit. Bold dual black and blue sport stripes run the length of the vehicle, complemented by side decals and standard LED tail lamps. Standard 17-inch sport alloy wheels are fitted, with 19-inch versions optional. Inside, the Sport trim features blue accent stripes on the seats, partial leather trim, and premium piano black surrounds for the multi-function display and centre console. A large 13?inch landscape touchscreen hosts Ford’s SYNC®4 system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, supported by 10 speakers. An optional Mobile Office pack adds a stowable tray table, enhanced cabin lighting, laptop/tablet stowage, extra USB ports, an AMPS docking slot, and an integrated bin. Comprehensive driver assistance features are included.
