Following a well-received debut in 2023, Suzuki Auto South Africa confirms the second Suzuki Safari Town Festival will take place on September 27, 2025. The event returns to the Oudtshoorn Recreation Ground in the Western Cape.
Forming a key part of the wider Jimny Gathering weekend, the festival celebrates life, freedom, and the Suzuki ethos. This year's event will showcase a line-up of South African musical talent, featuring performances by Jeremy Loops, Spoegwolf, Karen Zoid, and Port Elizabeth rapper Early B.

"The energy, turnout, and community feeling at our first festival surpassed what we anticipated. It established a special foundation," stated Henk van der Schyf, event organiser. "For 2025, we've amplified the popular elements. Expect more music, more adventure, and more ways to celebrate both the Suzuki spirit and the character of Oudtshoorn in the Karoo. We are eager to welcome everyone."
While live music is central, organisers have arranged numerous food and refreshment vendors. Festival-goers can also explore craft bars, a dedicated children's entertainment zone, and opportunities to interact with performing artists. Comedian Schalk Bezuidenhout reprises his role as the event's MC.
Although the Jimny Gathering (running from 26-29 September) caters specifically to Suzuki Jimny owners and 4x4 enthusiasts with mountain trails in the nearby Outeniquas, the Suzuki Safari Town Festival itself is open to the public. Attendance does not require owning a Jimny.

"Suzuki represents all South Africans," explained Brendon Carpenter, Brand Marketing Manager at Suzuki Auto South Africa. "While we have activities planned for Jimny owners, we ensured the festival welcomes everyone visiting Oudtshoorn that weekend. Our Clarens event was marked by good vibes and lekker people; we anticipate this Oudtshoorn edition will build on that. We look forward to seeing you at the main stage."
Tickets for the Suzuki Safari Town Festival are priced between R60 and R250. They will be available for purchase via the official website: www.safaritown.co.za.
