Opel South Africa has introduced the updated Mokka compact SUV, headlined by its efficient 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The refreshed model builds on the distinctive design established since its 2022 debut, offering enhanced features across the range alongside the new Grandland.
Responsible for shaping Opel's recent design language, including the Grandland, the Mokka pioneered the brand's signature Vizor front end. The latest iteration receives subtle yet impactful exterior updates. Both front and rear bumpers feature revised styling with improved aerodynamics, while the ECO LED headlights incorporate new magnifying lens technology for enhanced illumination. The model name now appears prominently across the tailgate.

Two variants are available: the Mokka Edition, replacing the former Elegance, and the sportier Mokka GS Line. The Edition rides on 17-inch alloy wheels, while the GS Line features 18-inch rims and retains its standard Diamond Black Roof. Both trims now include Shark Fin Antennas. Updated Opel badges adorn the front Vizor, bootlid, and wheel centres.
Inside, both models feature the Opel Pure Panel with a standard 10-inch digital driver display and a 10-inch Qualcomm-powered touchscreen infotainment system, including navigation. A frameless electro-chrome rear-view mirror reduces glare. The redesigned steering wheel showcases the new Opel badge and is heated, as is the eToggle gear selector. USB ports have been updated: C-Type in front for wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, with two A-Type ports for rear passengers. A wireless charging pad is standard.
Seating differs between trims: the Edition features stylish cloth upholstery, while the GS Line gains updated heated leather seats with massage function for the driver. The driver's seat offers six-way adjustment.

Comprehensive safety remains a focus. Both variants include front and rear parking sensors, heated electrically adjustable and power-folding side mirrors with Blind Spot Warning. The GS Line adds lateral parking sensors and a rear-view camera.
The 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine delivers 96 kW at 5 500 r/min, noted for its responsive torque delivery. Opel cites fuel consumption figures of 5,3 l/100 km (extra-urban) and 6,1 l/100 km (combined), with CO2 emissions of 139 g/km.
Advanced driver aids feature on the GS Line, including Forward Collision Warning with Automatic Emergency Braking and Pedestrian Detection (operational above 5 km/h), and Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go functionality (30 km/h to 180 km/h). All Mokka models feature advanced LED lighting technology.
Ownership includes a five-year/100 000 km warranty with Roadside Assistance. A three-year/60 000 km service plan covers maintenance, with intervals set at 12 months or 15 000 km.
