Nissan South Africa is keeping things fresh with the updated X-Trail and a cool, limited-edition Magnite Kuro Black Edition. This continues a year where Nissan has already launched the Navara PRO-4X Warrior by Premcar, the Stealth versions, and the practical Magnite Move panel van.

These new models show Nissan's continued investment in South Africa, where they've been doing business for over 60 years. Nissan aims to provide cars that South Africans want and help the local car market grow.

Maciej Klenkiewicz, the boss at Nissan South Africa and Independent Markets Africa, says these arrivals give South Africans more choices in every type of vehicle. He says they're expanding their range to meet lifestyle and business needs, from tough double cabs to small trucks and modern SUV's.

The updated X-Trail is comfortable, good for families, and packed with tech. The Kuro edition gives the popular Magnite a unique, stylish look.

The Magnite Kuro, based on the N-Connect trim, is a limited-edition model that swaps silver for black on the outside. It has black roof rails, skid plates, grille inserts, and alloy wheels, plus a Kuro badge. Inside, it's just as dark, with a black roof liner, shiny black dashboard, black fabric, fake-leather seats, and a wireless phone charger.

It runs on a 1,0-litre turbo engine with an X-Tronic CVT. It’s got practical and safe features like a tight turning circle(5 m), cruise control, hill start assist, LED headlights, and standard anti-lock braking with EBD and stability control. The regular Magnite already has a 5-star safety rating from Global NCAP for adults.

The New X-Trail adds handy features like wireless charging and auto-unlock when you approach, plus walk-away locking. It uses a 2,5-litre petrol engine making 135 kW and 244 Nm, has 211 mm of ground clearance, and can tow 2 000 kg.

The Visia and Acenta versions have an 8-inch touchscreen and seats for five, with a 585-litre boot. The Acenta Plus has a larger 12,3-inch touchscreen with navigation, a heads-up display, a drive mode selector, terrain mode, 19-inch alloy wheels, and optional seven-seat upgrade.

Klenkiewicz added that the X-Trail and Magnite Kuro improve their SUV lineup, following the recent Warrior, Stealth and Move launches. They're focused on giving South African drivers safe, well-equipped, and reliable vehicles.
