Chery rolled out its new Transformable Multi-SUV at the 2025 International User Summit recently, turning a lot of heads. This SUV is not your average family car—it has got a ‘6=1’ design, which means you get six different setups in a single vehicle.

Need extra seats for a family trip? Done. Hauling gear for work? No problem. Just want to relax? It has a mode for that too.

At the same event, the 2025 AiMOGA Global Business Conference took place. Chery used the spotlight to announce its upcoming robotics brand, blending their automotive expertise with the latest in smart technology.

Chery’s making it clear—they are not just building cars; they are building solutions that fit real life. The action happened in Wuhu, China, where Chery hosted the 2025 International User Summit and Chery Brand Night. People flew in from everywhere—users, journalists, business partners—all eager to see what Chery had up its sleeve for the future of smart travel and user-focused design.

Zheng Songzhi from Chery’s International Marketing Centre kicked off Brand Night by introducing the seven-seat Transformable Multi-SUV. Chery did not just dream this up overnight. Back in February 2024, they pulled together 20 experts and sent them around the world for a year. They surveyed more than 1 350 people, collecting and analysing over 40 000 responses to figure out what drivers need for work, family and play.

The result? Total freedom with space. The 6=1 idea means you can rearrange the seats and pop off the back panel in seconds. The SUV shifts easily between six different forms, both inside and out. Chery highlighted three of them: A spacious seven-seater for big groups. A two-row pickup with plenty of cargo space. A camping edition, complete with smart power and off-road chops—even in deep water.

Verene Petersen from Chery South Africa summed it up perfectly. South Africans want vehicles that are practical and give them freedom, whether they are dropping kids at school or heading off on a road trip. The Transformable Multi-SUV covers all the bases.

Chery says more info on the SUV is coming soon.

The 2025 AiMOGA Global Business Conference was also part of the summit. AiMOGA Robotics laid out its global plans, combining expertise in cars and robotics to create a smart, connected system for everyone.

Xia Peng from AiMOGA explained that, after three years of development, they have made real strides in self-driving technology. That progress powers the next step: building robots that help people in daily life. AiMOGA’s humanoid robot already meets European standards and operates in over 20 countries, including South Africa. AiMOGA wants to build a connected robot network—one that is everywhere, fast to respond and truly helpful.
