With entry-level pricing of R300 000, Salvador Caetano Auto South Africa, part of the Salvador Caetano Group, plans to introduce Jiangling Motors Corporation (JMC) to South Africa in November 2025 and the first vehicles are on the water.

In South Africa, ariund 3 000 single cab pickups are sold each month for less than R350 000, indicating there is a strong need for durable, reliable and affordable pickups. JMC South Africa plans to offer its Vigus Single Cab at a target price of R300 000, designed to shake up the market by providing excellent value.
The JMC Vigus Single Cab is made to handle the demands of hard-working South Africans. Its 2,4-litre engine produces 103 kW of power and 310 Nm of torque and it comes with a 5-speed manual transmission. The Vigus aims to provide strength, control and durability that rivals more expensive vehicles. It shows that good performance doesn't need to be costly. These features, such as strong towing ability and the power to overtake confidently, go along with the torque to manage heavy loads and rough terrain, all while being fuel-efficient and mechanically simple.
