In April 2025, JAC Motors took on the South African 24-hour endurance challenge at the Gerotek testing facility near Pretoria. Their vehicle, the T9 2.0 CTi double-cab bakkie, achieved 4,084 km over 24 hours, with an average speed of 170.1 km/h—setting a new national record for commercial vehicles.
