So, the reason I bought this vehicle was because — for me — one-owner, full-agent-history cars are the BEST the market has to offer. They’re generally MUCH cleaner, better looked after, and leaps and bounds above the others advertised for sale. This one didn’t fall short of my high expectations.
What I didn’t realise (and what surprised me very much) is the fact that, as I write this advert, this is the ONLY CLS 250 CDI AMG Line currently for sale in SA. How is that even possible? I searched high and low on Autotrader and Cars., and this is the only one. Wow. There used to be so many of them — I’ve sold many of these great cars over the years.
For this price, you’re really getting a fantastic vehicle. For the same price as a new Polo Vivo, you’re getting one of the best, most unique, luxurious diesel Mercedes-Benz models out there. And once again, the story, history, and condition are the main selling points for me and the reason this vehicle is now on our floor.
The pillarless doors, the back seat that looks like it was made for executives, and that signature sloping rear end — it’s a beautiful car. I love them. Sure, there are a few petrol versions of this vehicle currently for sale, but this is the brilliant diesel powerplant — with plenty of torque available at any rev range and in any gear,
